Right, what am I talking about!? Well, I regularly play Fifa, I only ever play career mode except for the odd occasion I play my brother and whoop his ass with Leicester. Ultimate team got boring and I realised I spent too much money on it, its the same reason I stopped playing The Simpsons Tapped Out on my phone. #justnotworthit
I love Career Mode, it puts me in the mind of a manager and over the course of this year and since Fifa 16 release I have been playing through a number of different teams, wanting to progress further and further, only I don’t. I started off at Chelsea, you know, my favourite club, they brought up from reserve team (at least in my head) and made me the replacement for Mourinho. After 5 years and numerous trophies including back to back Champions Leagues, I felt it was time to move on, as you do as a top class manager haha.
However whenever I looked at available jobs there was only ever jobs that would be considered a step down, such as Hoffenheim, Everton, Marseille. Now I don’t mind a challenge but I would have thought that I would get offers from numerous top clubs about vacant manager positions. I mean thought this game was realistic, but there is no manager merry go round and that’s a shame.
So what do i do to solve this issue, when I want to move on I start a new career mode and play with a different team. I went from Chelsea to Dortmund to AC Milan to Real Madrid, after a few seasons at Madrid I will try and move to a lower team (probably Watford) and try and do a Leicester. But I shouldn’t have to start over to do that, I should be offered club jobs, but it never happens, I only ever get offered every single National team job every other week…which is nice. I mean I will probably end my Fifa 16 career mode as manager of England and no one else, I mean that’s the way to do it, am I right?
If you want one thing to pretend to do in a video game then that is for England to beat Iceland because it clearly can’t be done in real life–OMG that was heartbreaking.
Another season gone and another good campaign. My focus (if you ready my previous post) was after my heavy defeat to Bayern Munich, was the Champions League and once again reaching to final, to win it this time round.
Well, its not just real football that throws some swings and roundabouts the way of the antagonist as I did reach the CL final again, only to be paired with Bayern Munich – A CHANCE FOR REVENGE!!!!
With revenge of the 7-1 defeat fresh in mind (shows how quickly I go through seasons) I set up the team to be a tad more defensive than last time. Who knew it would pay off as much as I thought, by half time it 0-0 and there had been chances at both ends but it was even. The second half was a similar situation, with Bayern putting on a lot of pressure but not creating anything clear cut and me finding it too difficult to break them down (not to mention Neuer is impossible to beat from long range).
But then, with 6 minutes left to play, Costa gets put through and he holds off Benatia to flick the ball past Neuer to grab the winner!!!!!
Diego Costa who was player of the year with 40 goals and 16 assists in the Premier League had won it and we held to clinch the trophy. Firstly, I was buzzin on the revenge high from beating Bayern, secondly I KEPT A CLEAN SHEET AGAINST BAYERN MUNICH >> Only Chelsea could do that!
Keep reading as I begin the new season, with signings already on the way on free transfers, the likes of Danny Welbeck and Xhedren Shaqiri joining the team and the return of good British youngsters to make an impact on the first team, it looks set up to be another fun year.
Today was a mixed bag of emotions for my Chelsea team. Currently one season in and a treble win last season (with a 7-1 Champions league Final defeat to Bayern Munich) and at the moment I find my team out of the League Cup with a shocking 4-0 loss to Everton, into the F.A Cup 4th round courtesy of a Chelsea youth player (Smith) and four points clear at the top of the league.
Played what looks to be an easy win away to a poor Sunderland team. Unfortunately that was not be the case, which started with a harsh sending off of Matic late in the 1st half but was still 2-0 thanks to top scorer Costa (26). Then he grabs a third early in the second half and substitutions are made around the 65 minute mark. Then Sunderland started playing and pulled a goal, then another and with 5 minutes left to play they equalise.
Classic FIFA screaming moment, I wish we had the ability to do the hair-dryer treatment to my players!
Then I almost pulled off an amazing winner with sub Ramires, as tackles a player and run past the defence on the outside and then makes his way inside crashes a shot off the post, that was to be it…
But we move on and look ahead to a West London derby against QPR at the bridge.
